Our most popular railway sleeper is the 2.4M new softwood railway sleeper. This type of wooden railway sleeper is made from Pine or Spruce. They are pressure treated with a preservative, which is environmentally friendly.

We have a variety of fixings and sizes ranging from Carpenters Mate for use with Softwood products. Carpenters Mate Landscape Screws are great for joining softwood railway sleepers together quickly without pre-drilling using an electric drill or screw driver. A Free Driver bit is supplied in each pack.

Additionally the fixings are of high quality steel to power through Hardwood & Softwood Timber Railway Sleepers.

Our second hand railway sleepers are of good quality with few defects. These railway sleepers are Hardwood with a creosote treatment, which means they are particularly suitable for use with ground contact. This means second hand railway sleepers are used for all types of landscaping projects such as retaining walls, steps and fencing. Other popular uses for reclaimed railway sleepers are in the garden in raised beds, kerbing and edging.

Please note that these railway sleepers are treated with Creosote. This should not be used when frequent skin contact may occur.
