We stock are grade one secondhand hardwood and softwood railway sleepers. A hardwood railway sleeper is made from Beech which is very strong and durable while the softwood version is pine.
Hardwood railway sleepers are treated with Creosote.
Softwood railway sleepers are treated with Shale Oil.
Grade one secondhand railway sleepers are a very good quality with very few defects. Secondhand railway sleepers are used for all types of landscaping projects such as retaining walls, steps and fencing. Other popular uses for reclaimed railway sleepers are in the garden in raised beds, kerbing and edging.
